for some reason it won’t print - can anyone see the problem from attached photo??
I think it might be out of paper…
It looks like the cover is open? Normally you get an error message on the screen if the cover is ajar which will stop you from printing. Try closing/reininstalling the cover and see if that fixes it?
Have you used a printer before?
Looks like PEBCAK to me…
I can’t put the cover back … what do I do with all those trailing cables???
u the pebcak…
as for have I used one b4 … not sure… - are you not supposed to use a screwdriver and just rip them to bits??
I think it needs MORE Screwdriver…
I think I found the problem:
Lasers … pew pew …
Have you tried switching it off and on again?
It’s the damnedest thing…
this printer IS trying to kill me…
fear not though …
As I taught it a lesson …
Actually … just found the ACTUAL problem…
If it wasn’t for your suggestion gingebot… wouldn’t have noticed…
oh well…
heheh
Actually scratch that… I think it’s a colour calibration issue…
Mrdino + a scredriver or three. =
is that an old Gestetner photocopier?
Sort of - it’s actually a Ricoh branded - possibly ex Gestetner not sure - they do go by many brands - it’s base model is the G131 - Ricoh CL7300 it was released in 2005 - I think ricoh announced this one as one of their own in the states but in europe it was going by several different brands at least!! - Gestetner/NRG/Ricoh/Savin/Lanier. Makes it fun to look up parts for it!! This one I just kept bits off it for spares… as have another one…
It’s not a photocopier as it doesn’t have the head part - it’s optional… just a fairly quick Digital Postscript printer…
