Thought I’d put a little post here on a project I’ve been working on at the space on Tuesdays (as can’t generally make Fridays). Inspired by the fact I told my son that I wouldn’t buy him a Nerf Terrascout, but we could build one, this is phase one.
Here’s my initial prototype using some quadcopter motors and an ESC donated by the dogbot lot.
I’ve since printed an ammo holder/loader and an initial Arduino-based trigger system. Need to mount a servo to push the bullets into the rollers.
I’m sure I’m not going to regret this at all, although may heed my son’s advice that ‘I may need thicker glasses’.
