Some photos showing the results of a team effort. Making an illuminated cabinet which was exhibited in Guildford Library as part of Surrey Artist Open Studios.
In the cabinet different quotes from Frank Herberts novel Dune are illuminated.
The quotes are laser etched onto a series of clear Perspex sheets. The RGB LED’s light each sheet of quotes (from top and bottom) in a different colour each time the cycle of illumination is triggered. The trigger is via a proximity sensor. So the piece comes to life as somone approaches it.
This is amazing.

Unfortunately it wasn’t very photogenic in operation (at least not with my video camera) so alas, no video.
But it did work as intended. Now owned by a local photographer.
