Becoming a member

Hi there!
Are you interested in becoming a member or seeing what the Makerspace is all about?

For any new and prospective members or anyone who is curious about the space, we would recommend starting here. We’d suggest doing the following:

  1. Introduce yourself here on the forum (in this post or a new topic). What are you interested in, what projects are you working on, is there anything in particular you need help with or any equipment you need access to?
  2. Check in with me or @matthewfelgate via a private message to get a link to our WhatsApp group, this is great for live updates.
  3. Visit us on an Open Day! Every Wednesday from 7pm onwards at our space in Badshot Lea. It’s worth checking here on the forum or on WhatsApp that there will be someone there to let you in.
Look around the space and chat to our friendly members to see if it’s right for you. If you’re unsure, feel free to keep visiting us on open days.
  4. If you’re ready to become a member, one of our directors will help you get set up (usually an in-person process). Membership is £25 a month which gives you access to the space and all the training you might need on our equipment.

Hi, I’m Sam and want to come along to the Open Day either tonight (27th) or next week.

I want to get experience with 3D printing and laser cutting. My planned projects are LARP props, modifying Nerf blasters, and upgrading board games.

Might be moving to the area, wondering how active the Space is, as not much activity on the forum.

Also please could you advise me of the Bus number that comes from Farnham to near the space.

Thanks

Hi Keith, we’re active every day on the WhatsApp group. The forum sees a lot less use these days.

We’ve a barbeque on the 12th of April if you’d like to come along and get an idea of the space!

If you’d like to join the WhatsApp group send me a private message with your mobile number and I’ll get you added.

Cheers!

I’ve messaged on the discord group as well as attempted to join the WhatsApp group. I just want some information on the accessibility of the building before I get too invested with the idea as I’m in a wheelchair
